Four new Rosewood properties on four continents satisfy any globe-trotter’s desire
Two-thousand and eighteen will be a momentous year for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, as we see the opening of four new properties, each distinct in architecture and design—and continent. Beginning in California, Rosewood Miramar Beach Montecito spans 16 acres of lush landscape and faces a secluded strip of famed Santa Barbara beach. Carrying on the mantel from the landmark Miramar Beach Hotel, Rosewood has revived the property to include over 122 guestrooms and 48 cottage and bungalow suites.
Jump down south to Brazil for the opening of Rosewood São Paulo. Alexandre Allard joins Rosewood to collaborate with Pritzker Prize–winning architect Jean Nouvel and designer Philippe Starck to create 151 guestrooms and 114 owners’ suites situated within a vertical park.
Spin the globe to Scotland for the opening of Rosewood Edinburgh, housed in the former Royal High School completed in 1829. Our revival of the property, which has been vacant for nearly 50 years, offers peerless panoramic views of the Scottish capital.
Finally, we journey to the southernmost point of China’s Hainan Island to Rosewood Clearwater Bay, a sophisticated resort sanctuary that combines bold architecture with a breathtaking landscape. Hidden in pristine surroundings, accommodations consist of 116 villas, all with unobstructed ocean views and beach access via foliage-shadowed pathways. No matter on which corner of the world your feet land, a new and surprising experience will soon await.
